Witness one of Australia’s most enchanting wildlife spectacles with the Phillip Island Penguin Parade & Wildlife Tour from Melbourne, a seamless journey to see thousands of little blue penguins waddle ashore at dusk. This full-day adventure explores Phillip Island’s natural wonders, blending conservation-focused stops with the unforgettable sight of the world’s smallest penguins returning to their Summerland Beach burrows. Perfect for nature lovers, the tour includes visits to the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, where you’ll meet koalas, kangaroos, and Tasmanian devils, and scenic highlights like the Nobbies’ rugged coastline and seal colonies.
Start with a pickup from central Melbourne hotels, travelling 90 minutes to Moonlit Sanctuary for hands-on encounters with over 400 native animals. Meet dingoes and colourful lorikeets, plus a chance to feed wallabies. Continue to Phillip Island, stopping at Woolamai Beach’s dramatic surf and the Nobbies Centre for panoramic views and boardwalk strolls past seabird nests. As evening falls, settle into tiered seating at the Penguin Parade’s General Viewing area, watching up to 4,000 penguins parade under eco-friendly lighting, guided by ranger commentary. Book now and let Phillip Island’s coastal magic and penguin charm create lifelong memories.

Craig is passionate about his job as the bus driver and guide. He gave insightful information about the tour and gave clear instructions. It was a lovely day to see many native animals and of course the penguin parade which was the highlight of the day.
Our driver guide is Josh. He is friendly and professional and gave many interesting facts about Melbourne. The penguin plus seats were well worth the price. We were seated very close to the little penguins!
Everything was perfect. Sarah our guide was amazing. If I had to pull up a negative it would be it was way too crowded for my liking on the day for the penguin experience. Didn't bother my wife but I'm not a crowd person lol.
