Attention parents: Mandai Wildlife Reserve is introducing a brand-new indoor playground for families, and it is set to be a hit with wandering little explorers.
Curiosity Cove, Singapore's largest indoor nature-inspired playground for kids aged three to twelve, opens on 21 Nov 2025. The playground is a game-changer, combining hands-on and digital play across four different zones, giving the kids an active way to learn and imagine all things nature.
Want to learn more about Curiosity Cove? Here’s everything you need to know.
The Four Interactive Zones of Curiosity Cove
Curiosity Cove is built around four nature-themed zones: Wetlands, Forestlands, Grasslands and Drylands. Each one is designed around real-world ecosystems and is made to get kids up and active - climbing, crawling, exploring, and hands-on play - all in a completely safe and air-conditioned space.
1. Wetlands
The Wetlands welcome kids with a gentle “river” pathway filled with reef-like textures and colourful marine details.
Little ones can trace their fingers along corals at the Reef Retreat, peek into nooks and discover how water connects different habitats in this calm, underwater-inspired space.
2. Forestlands
Forestlands brings the jungle to life with towering trees and all sorts of hidden animals just waiting to be interacted with.
Kids can climb into a treetop “nest” of the Orangutan Sleeping Platform, trigger fun sounds at the Singing Tree or explore the Microscopic Canopy where tiny creatures and plants appear up close. This zone also houses one of two Calm Zones for kids who need a quiet breather.
3. Grasslands
The Grasslands recreate an African savannah with tall grass, rocky paths and a playful Watering Hole where kids crouch to “drink” like wildlife.
They can dodge a cheeky alligator or crawl into Nature’s Theatre Cave to spot migrating animals. You will also find the second Calm Zone here, where kids can relax with sensory kits.
4. Drylands
Drylands takes the kids on an epic desert adventure - complete with dunes and burrows to slither through.
They can slither through the Giant Snake Belly of a horned viper, explore hidden tunnels in the Underground Galleries or feel their way through the dark Bat Cave using sound. It is all about big movements and discovering how desert creatures survive.
Other Activities at Curiosity Cove
Curiosity Cove also features the Ranger Buddies Programme, which introduces kids to wildlife through simple missions and playful storytelling.
Each day, little ones can join the Curiosity Cove Dance in the Grasslands - quick, lively dance sessions led by the Ranger Buddies crew.
On weekends, public holidays and school holidays, the first session becomes Ranger Buddies Rise & Shine. Kids get early access plus a short story that sets up their “mission” for the day, ideal for children who enjoy exploring before it gets busy.
Curiosity Cove also hosts birthday parties. Both packages include playtime and a private room, while the Premium option adds a special mission and a small birthday parade.

Curiosity Cove opens on 21 Nov 2025 at Mandai Wildlife EAST. Admission is by timed entry, with three standard two-hour blocks and one shorter evening slot:

Tips for Parents Visiting Curiosity Cove
When your kiddos explore and play at Curiosity Cove, they'll immediately be hooked by the multi-sensory play touchpoints and zones. Here are some things to keep in mind to make sure you and your kids have the best time at the play space.
Bring grip socks: They’re required for both adults and kids to enter Curiosity Cove, and you can buy a pair onsite if needed for SGD 3.
Plan for snacks or a meal: There’s a McDonald’s right at the entrance for quick bites before or after playtime. It's perfect for parents to relax in while their kids have a play date with their friends.
Check out the Mandai Shop: You’ll find exclusive nature-themed merch that makes great (and adorable!) souvenirs.
Take play breaks: Two Calm Zones are available when kids need a quiet moment to rest and reset.
Make it a full-day outing: For a full day of wildlife adventure, consider checking out Rainforest Wild or River Wonders, both located within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
