For this project, some buildings in the center of Luxor had to be removed and rebuilt elsewhere. At the Karnak Temple you will enter a sacred place of worship in ancient Egypt. The temple complex consists of several temples and the "Holy Lake", a place for sacrifices and purification rituals. It is one of the best preserved Egyptian complexes, especially its main temple, thanks to the fact that it remained buried by sand and mud until it was unearthed by the Frenchman Auguste Mariette in the mid-19th century. It is one of the only temples that we can go up to its roof and see incredible views of the complex, up there is where the famous Dendera sodiac was discovered. It contains numerous secret crypts, which we can visit and contemplate their beautiful reliefs as intriguing as the Dendera lamps.
