Cambodia's most impressive group of pre-Angkorian monuments Sanbor Prei Kuk encompasses more than 100 brick temples scattered through the forest, among them some of the oldest in the country. The attraction was recently named Cambodia's third Unesco World Heritage site. Sambor Pre Kuk ( Isanabura ) is an archaeological park located in Kompong Thom province, around 160km from Siem Reap city, we will spend around 3 hours on the road. Sambor Prei Kuk is one of the Khmer Capital city in the reign of King Isanavarman I between 616 - 637 ( 7the century ), located on the eastern bank of the Tonle Sap lake, close to Steung Saen River, The central part of Sambor Prei Kuk is divided into three main groups, East group has a square layout surrounded by the brick wall. The structures of the overall archaeological area were constructed at variable times.
