The tour begins with a 20 minute drive through the Old and Historic District with a brief history of Charleston and some of it's interesting 300 year old customes that exist today. You will also see some of Charleston's largest historic homes including the Williams Mansion, at 25,000 ft. Charleston's largest single family residence. You will also see, Rainbow Row, White Pointe Gardens, the high battery, the Exchange building, considered one of Charleston's most important historic buildings, the Confederate Women's Home and St. Michael's church. Then on to Middleton Place Plantation, home of some of America's most important early founders. See one to the only original plantation home open to the public, a working farmyard and America's earliest formal gardens, generaltions in the making.
