Tipu Sultan is a legend on many counts. In this walking tour we will trace his life from the day he fought a tiger and killed it with a dagger, his brave battles with the British, his administrative and economic reforms and his pioneering usage of rockets in warfare. We will visit his Summer Palace, the armoury he kept to fight the British, a medieval temple, Bangalore Fort which was refurbished by Tipu’s father Hyder Ali and the bustling KR market.

We will talk about how the fort played a role in the Anglo Mysore wars between Tipu and the British forces led by the legendary Lord Cornwallis. Note Fort is closed on Sundays.
