Carcar (known as the Heritage City of Cebu), meet your local guide for an introduction to the city. Hop on a wooden cart being pulled by a carabao, feel the burning sensation of the coconut wine down your throat, unleash your creativity as you weave your own basket and take a tricycle to bring you back to the waiting vehicle parked at a distance. Proceed to St. Catherine of Alexandria Church with its architecture Spanish colonial structures and a drive thru the popular stone houses. Grumbling stomach? Not a problem as Carcar is bursting with flavors: ampao (sugared puff grains), bucarillo (caramelized coconut strips), chicharron (pork rind crackling) and the lechon (roasted pig).
