The winery is Angelo’s spin on a tradition that began more than a century ago when his family moved from Italy to San Francisco and started selling their hand-crafted beverages. At Backstage, Angelo has lovingly recreated the sense of tranquility found in the winemaking estates of Tuscany — an homage to his roots. He started Backstage in 2010 and runs the winery with his family.
