Itinerary
Place du Châtelet
Starting at Place du Châtelet by the Seine, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and follow the river toward the Marais. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city. The route builds to the Place de la Bastille, where the fortress-prison fell in 1789 and the July Column now glitters. Riddles sift revolution from legend. At the Hôtel de Sens, one of Paris's last medieval mansions, trivia finds turrets, a formidable archbishop and a cannonball from 1830 still lodged in the facade. Then the Place des Vosges opens its pink-brick arcades — the oldest planned square in Paris, once home to Victor Hugo and countless duels. Around two hours through the city's most storied quarter. The leaderboard delivers the final verdict — appeal denied.
