Ganghwa Dolmen (World Heritage Site)

Dolmons are a type of prehistoric stone tomb, and while they are found in
abundance throughout Northeast Asia, South Korea, in particular, has nearly
30,000 dolmens discovered across the country. They were designated a UNESCO
World Cultural Heritage site on November 29, 2000, and their beauty is
especially striking at sunset.

・Ganghwa Peace Observatory The Ganghwa Peace Observatory has military
facilities on the basement and 4th floor, a high-performance telescope and an
exhibition room on the 2nd floor where you can see the horrors and traces of
war, and an observation facility on the 3rd floor where you can see North
Korea at a glance, as well as a screen facility where you can see a panoramic
view of North Korea through images even on bad weather days. From the North
Korea observation room, you can see the Yesong River flowing across the coast
about 2.3 kilometers ahead, scenes of the lives of North Korean residents and
propaganda villages, the tower of the Kaesong Industrial Complex, and Songak
Mountain.

・Gwangseong Fort

In 1618, the outer fortress from the Goryeo period was repaired, and in 1656,
Gwangseongbo Fortress was established. However, the fortress's platform was
built in 1679. Gwangseongbo Fortress was the site of the fiercest battle
during the Shinmiyangyo Incident, and remnants of cannons and gun emplacements
used at the time remain. The view of the sea from there and the curves of the
platform are particularly striking.

・Jeongdeungsa Temple

Jeondeungsa Temple is an ancient temple located on Jeongjoksan Mountain, built
in 381 by the Goguryeo monk Ado Hwasang. During the reign of King Chungnyeol
in 1282, Queen Jeonghwa donated a jade lantern to the temple, and it was
renamed Jeondeungsa Temple. Jeondeungsa Temple has many sights to see,
including the main hall, Daeungjeon, and the Medicine Buddha Hall.
