Highlights
Escape the hustle and bustle of city life at Vancouver's Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. This serene oasis has provided tranquillity and reflection since 1986. Meander along peaceful paths, catching glimpses of koi fish and turtles, and admire picturesque pagodas and reflections cast from the ponds. This Ming Dynasty-style garden-home is the first of its kind built outside of China. It serves as a unique venue for cultural programming and events, including guided tours, concerts, festivals, exhibitions, receptions, educational and cultural programs. As a registered not-for-profit, all garden revenue supports their mission to bring together cultures and communities through educational and public programs. Recognized as one of Vancouver's top tourist attractions, it was Canada’s Garden of the Year in 2012 and named the 'World's Top City Garden' by National Geographic.
