During Tan Dinh’s 1929 reconstruction, wealthy parishioner Francois Haasz and his Vietnamese wife generously decorated the inside with Italian marble, creating a rich, elegant feel. To add a historical dimension to Tan Dinh, the founder of the church, Father Donatien Eveillard, is buried beneath the nave.

With 68 floors above ground and three basements, the building has a height of 262.5 metres, making it the second tallest building in the city, fifth tallest in Vietnam, and the 263rd tallest in the world, as of the beginning of 2018.
