This fort was strategically built to guard the entrance of the St. John's Harbor. It was armed with 36 guns and had barracks which accommodated 75 men. 15 minsAdmission Ticket FreeThe first cathedral was built in 1681, a simple wooden structure. This was replaced in 1745 after it was severely damaged by earthquake. The present structure as built in 1845.
