The first stop is Midhope Castle, the real-life Lallybroch home of Jamie Fraser. Next, head to Doune Castle – one of Scotland's best-preserved medieval castles and the setting for Castle Leoch in Outlander. It's also featured in some Winterfell scenes in Game of Thrones, as well as Monty Python's Holy Grail. You'll have time to hop off and explore the inside of this epic medieval marvel before continuing on to the next location.

Continue to the Kingdom of Fife, the ancestral home of real Scottish monarchs. Spend time for lunch in Culross, the fictional village of 'Cranesmuir' where Claire is accused of witchcraft. This quaint village is the most complete example of a 17th- and 18th-century burgh in Scotland today.

Please note that there may be instances where Doune Castle is closed due to estate and filming activities. In those cases, we will be visiting Linlithgow Palace instead of Doune Castle (exterior only).
