Located in Gangwon-do, South Korea, Elysian Gangchon Ski Resort is one of the
most popular ski destinations near the metropolitan area, known for its
comprehensive facilities, convenient transportation, and ski-friendly
environment for beginners.
The ski resort features a total of 10 slopes, 8 of which are for beginners and
intermediates. With relatively gentle gradients, they are perfect for first-
time skiers, families, and casual skiers. Advanced slopes are also available
to meet the needs of skiers of all levels.
To ensure beginners can enjoy skiing with peace of mind, the resort provides
complete safety and service facilities, including dedicated counters for ski
equipment rental, chairlift anti-fall systems, safety fences, impact-absorbing
pads, and ski patrol and rescue personnel to provide all-around protection for
visitors.
In addition, the resort features a beginner practice area and dedicated
teaching slopes for the ski school, allowing first-timers to learn step-by-
step and get started with ease. Beginner and intermediate skiers can also take
the B chairlift to the summit rest area to enjoy the fun of skiing while
taking in the winter scenery of Gangwon-do.
Elysian Gangchon Ski Resort also offers flexible ticketing and facility usage
options, allowing visitors to freely arrange their skiing experience according
to their needs.
- Snow Condition Notice
From late February, as temperatures gradually rise, the snow quality at the
resort may become unstable. Please pay attention to relevant information
before booking.
In March, the weather has a greater impact, and snow conditions may continue
to change. It is recommended that travelers carefully evaluate before booking.
If the ski resort cannot operate normally due to poor snow conditions, the
supplier may notify you of a trip cancellation before departure. Please be
sure to pay attention to the notification message on the day before departure.
