In this creative workshop, you will be able to design and paint your own glass plate, using age old techniques that were used as far back as the medieval times: Most of the intricate details in church windows are made this way! Explore the traditional craft of glass art, while adding your own modern touch. There is no prior knowledge needed to attend this class. If you have an idea in mind, we will help you create in a way that works with the medium. The plate will be heated up to 740 degrees, so it is washable and dishwasher safe. In the end, you can take your unique piece of glassware home with you. PLEASE NOTE: Your plate has to stay in the kiln for a while before it is finished, so you can’t take it home with you straight away. Usually this takes about 1 to 2 days until you can take it with you from our studio. Since the plates are heavy, we unfortunately can't cover the shipping costs if you want your plate shipped to you. If you aren’t in Riga for that long, please consider this in your planning! Make sure that you will still be in Riga two days after your workshop, so you can come pick up your finished piece!
