You’ll definitely want to have your camera ready since this area is known for its breathtakingly beautiful pink lagoon water. In the same way, you can exfoliate the skin with a mud bath if you wish. After exploring the Rio Lagartos, you’ll probably be hungry.

The striking pink color of the waters, caused by the high concentration of salt and pigmented bacteria, makes for incredible photos, especially under the bright Mexican sun. The area is a sanctuary for flamingos, which feed on brine shrimp and algae in the lakes, giving them their iconic pink color. The tour includes visits to key points of interest, such as the Las Coloradas salt flats, where you will see how salt is traditionally extracted.
