Highlights
Badaling Great Wall is an important part of the Ming Great Wall in China and one of the most iconic sections of the Great Wall. It is renowned for its steep terrain and magnificent scenery. Located at the northern entrance of the ancient Jiandu Mountain Pass in Yanqing District, Beijing, it served as a critical military pass during the Ming Dynasty and as a defensive barrier for Beijing. Badaling is the earliest section of the Ming Great Wall to be opened to the public and is also the best-preserved and most representative section along the Great Wall.
