Tanzania’s second and the African continents fourth highest mountain towers at an impressive 4566m or 14980ft above the ground just east of the Kilimanjaro region in Arusha National Park. Generally serving as a great warm up (acclimatization) trek for a Kilimanjaro climb, Mt Meru is also a spectacular trek in it’s own right and offers an exciting first day through the park forest (almost like a walking safari) with an armed ranger (shared with other groups) before taking you on the dry alpine zones up to the scree filled peak. Views of Kilimanjaro in the distance are seen on a clear day as well as a fascinating view down into the Meru crater.

You will climb Tanzania's second highest peak at 4566m or 14,980ft) which offers great acclimatisation before a Kilimanjaro climb or a rewarding trek in it's own right.

Twice daily health checks with guides and a high-grade medical oximeter

1 x transfer from park gates to a Arusha or Moshi based lodge per group
Trained, certified, and experienced English-speaking Mountain guide/s at ANAPA minimum ratios
