The white sand of the beach, along with coconut trees and cliffs on one side make the place mesmerizing. The beach has lots of birds, making it a bird-watcher paradise. This is another popular spot on the Jebel Safari in Salalah. Tawi Attair Sinkhole, which translates as The Birds Well, is a unique place to visit. Tawi Attair is one of the world’s deepest sinkholes, measuring some 200 meters from top to bottom. It is actually so deep that a fifty-floor building can be fit inside it. It is worth noting that the scenery becomes barren near the top, which is a contrast to the plantation you might be seeing on the way from Darbat to Samhan during the drive. Depending on the weather, you may see clouds hugging the cliff of Jebel Samhan or the coast of Mirbat if the weather is clear.
