Itinerary is good, all of beijing iconic places (exclude great wall) in one day. Guide Jenny is good too
Sally is a very experienced guide. She explained a lot about history and the details. All the arrangements were smooth and productive. We enjoyed tour very much.
Great way to see the cultural highlights of Beijing. Jenny was very knowledgeable and helpful.
There was more stuff planned that this list didn't mention. Our tour guide micheal was super helpful. He whatsapped me the day before to confirm the hotel and time to pick us up. We were driven around in a medium sized bus that could sit up to 10 people. There were three other people in our group who booked from different platforms so this is not a private tour. We travelled to the summer palace first and rode around the palace in a boat (not included so we had to pay out of pocket for this) as it was too big to walk around. Afterwards we went to temple of heaven, with 15 mins to walk around the place. The lunch didn't feel authentically chinese, the dishes were still alright but they are likely chosen to cater to those unfamiliar with chinese cuisine. After lunch, we went to a TCM clinic (not part of the package mentioned) where you can get a free diagnosis and pay out of pocket for medication they prescribed. Estimated 800-1000rmb for one month of one prescriped tcm medication. Followed by a tour of tianmen square and entering the forbidden city, as we had extra time we got to pay out of pocket to travel up the hill to get an overview of the whole forbidden city. We ended the day at a tea shop, learning about tea making and sampling small cups of tea. The tea shop was known to be government approved? And therefore the prices of the tea might be quite pricey to some (160rmb for the smallest tin). The car that drove us around was really helpful as it rained after the tea workshop and they dropped us off at the hotel. Micheal was friendly as well as he helped us booked red theatre tickets to see the acrobat show. Please do install wechat so you can communicate with them better if you need to after the tour ends. Little time to souvenir shop but possible if requested during the trip. Enjoyed it thoroughly! Starts 7.30am (picking up other people till 8+) and reached back our hotel at 7pm
