This park is famous of having groups of an elephant; Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem – a smorgasbord for predators – and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed. During the rainy season, the seasonal visitors scatter over a 20,000 sq. km (12,500 sq. miles) range until they exhaust the green plains and the river calls once more. 8 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedEarly in the morning our experienced driver will pick you from after your breakfast and drive to Ngorongoro crater. This is about 30 min drive from your camp. Later you will check in at Loduare gate towards Crater. You will descend to the crater floor where you will be amazed by the sheer number and diversity of animals and birdlife. Seated or standing in our pop up safari vehicles the viewing opportunities are endless, just deciding which way to look and what to look at, the choices are unlimited. The sheer excitement as we spot any of the Big 5 or we get the call over the radio that a lion is perched high atop a nearby rocky outcrop or a black rhino has been sighted and rush with our vehicle to catch a glimpse before the moment passes. The excitement mounts again as arrive to yet another sighting, perhaps a lioness and her cubs right next to our vehicle. The sheer excitement of the chase is indescribable. Later afternoon drive back to Karatu for dinner and accommodation at Haven Nature In the next day after lunch, shopping and optional maasai tour at mmto wa mmbu our guide will drive you back to Kilimanjaro International Airport JRO.
