For Maokong Gondola: Maokong Gondola Taipei Zoo Station ticketing office (1st and 4th floor Information) OR Maokong Gondola Taipei Zoo South Station Station
For Taipei Zoo: Entrance at Taipei Zoo South Entrance, Section 2, Xinguang Road, Wenshan District, Taipei City, Taiwan
Taipei Zoo was amazingly huge - be prepared to walk so be in comfortable footwear. Those with infants/young children, there's stroller rental services available at the Zoo. Plenty of food options in the zoo if you need to take a break. It is best to start touring the zoo in the morning to leave sufficient time to explore Maokong in the second half of the day. We started after 12pm and missed out one zone in the zoo which closes at 5pm. We went to Maokong Gondola after 5pm which gave us beautiful sunset and night views of Taipei City. Due to short day time in November, it wasn't as great to explore various spots in Maokong area, so better to do so in the afternoon.
Hassle free transaction and claiming
The QR code in the e-ticket can be scanned by staff without the need to exchange for a physical ticket. If you alight from the Gondola to enter the Zoo south entrance, you need to take a tram to the Bird Station - 5 TWD, once every 15minutes.
Taipei Zoo is huge and could take you a day to fully explore the place. Entering the attraction is a breeze with the e-tickets as there is no need to exchange for physical tickets
Easy redemption. Just scan qr code at all, the places.
We originally booked for the activity on 4th Oct, everything was going well, we scanned the QR for the gondola to get to the top. Unfortunately, upon trying to descend the gondola to continue to the zoo, the service was terminated due to gale so we had to fetch an Uber back to the hotel. I've contacted Pelago to notify and was told our tickets were "re-validated" to 8th Oct, which we planned to re-visit the Zoo. On the day, after queuing for an hour-ish, we arrived at the gantry, our QR were invalid. I contacted CS right away, while clogging the gantry with a party of 10 (inc. 2 infants, 2 elderlies). Although the CS was trying the best to help, after 40mins of waiting and multiple attempts to resolve with the ground staffs, we were advised to repurchase new tickets due to the disruption caused to operations, which we did eventually and unfortunately.
