Its Islamic Caliphate extended from Cordoba in Andalusia to Tripoli in Libya. Bab Agnaou is one of the 19 gates that allows you to enter inside the ramparts of the city of Marrakech. This gate (“bab” in Arabic) served as an entrance to the administrative and military complex of the Caliphal Kasbah, citadel of power, from the south of the city. Flanked by two cannons, it is one of the most impressive gates of Marrakech.
