Hakata Kaisen Watatsumi Hakata Honten is a izakaya where you can enjoy fresh seafood dishes, including live fish, in private or semi-private rooms. The ‘Ikizukuri’ (fresh slices of live fish, such as squid and leatherfish, from the fish tank in the restaurant are processed and served upon order) is outstandingly fresh. We also recommend creative seafood dishes such as the visually beautiful ‘Watsuumi Kaisen Monaka’, which features sea urchins and salmon roe on top of the fish in the middle.
In addition to seafood, the restaurant also offers authentic meat dishes using Japanese wagyu beef and local specialities from Kyushu.
