Keage Incline
Keage Incline (incline railroad) is a railroad line that was previously used to transport ships, with a total length of 582 meters. You can also walk on the track. It is a valuable place where visitors can freely explore the ruins of an abandoned railway line. One of the most photogenic spots in Kyoto, with its retro-looking train tracks.
Nanzenji Temple
Designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan, Nanzenji Temple is filled with many attractions, including Sanmon Gate, the symbol of Nanzenji Temple, Hojo, which expresses the world of Zen, and Suijikaku Aqueduct, which has a retro atmosphere. Cherry blossoms are blooming around the Sanmon gate, from which you can see a view of Kyoto, and throughout the temple grounds.
Nijo Castle
Nijo Castle is a prominent World Heritage site that served as a residence for shoguns, showcasing the architectural grandeur of feudal Japan.
