For participants already in Java, pick-up is at Probolinggo station at 3:30 PM. After several hours of travel, you will cross the Bali Strait by ferry to reach Java. Soon after, a local-flavored lunch will be served – your first culinary discovery of the region. By late afternoon, you will arrive at the village of Cemoro Lawang Bromo, located at 2300 meters above sea level. At the top, enjoy breathtaking views of the smoking crater at dawn—a magical moment. Watch the sunrise over Bromo, surrounded by Batok (extinct, 2400 m) and Semeru (active, 3677 m, Java’s highest volcano). After sunrise, cross the “Sea of Sand,” a vast volcanic ash plain. Then visit Seruni viewpoint for panoramic views of the Tengger massif. After breakfast, continue through villages and plantations toward Kawah Ijen, with local lunch en route.
