A one-of-a-kind "lifelong" Hanko experience created with your very own "Kanji name"!
After gathering, we will start with a workshop to turn your name into Kanji. Following the Japanese naming culture, your guide will ask about your personality, wishes, and hobbies. We will suggest the perfect Kanji for you, filled with beautiful meanings.
Once your name is decided, we will head to a local specialty shop. You can choose your favorite material from various options like ivory or titanium, and order your original Hanko. You can rest assured as the guide will support you with any complex orders.
After ordering, we will stroll through the Shinjuku 3-chome area while waiting for your Hanko to be completed. You can choose where you want to go, such as "Kawaii" anime goods shops, unique Japanese miscellaneous goods stores, or the latest trendy vintage clothing shops. Enjoy a local and unique souvenir-hunting tour, away from the standard tourist traps.
Finally, you will receive a handmade map from the guide before the tour concludes. For the remaining time until you pick up your Hanko, you can enjoy drinking coffee at a retro cafe (Jun-kissa) or exploring the surrounding streets.

- Q: How much does the Hanko cost? Is it included in the tour fee?
A: The Hanko fee is not included in the tour price. Please pay directly at the shop (Credit cards accepted). The estimated price is from 3,300 JPY for a plastic Hanko, and from 10,000 JPY for an authentic Hanko. An additional express finishing fee (from 550 JPY) is required. - Q: How long is the wait for the Hanko?
A: The minimum wait is 60 minutes (about 90 minutes for 2 pieces). This may vary depending on how busy the shop is on the day. Since the tour itself ends in 60 minutes, guests will need to go directly to the shop to pick up their completed Hanko themselves. - Q: Can children make a Hanko too?
A: Yes, of course. Participation in the tour is free for children 12 and under, but if they wish to create their own Hanko, a separate Hanko fee must be paid at the shop.
