Dinner or lunch will be served in the most authentic typical and original places in Huaraz that are houses of families who are willing for visitors to share their lifestyle and culture. These families and houses are not restaurants or public areas, this is more original to show and demonstrate you the original lifestyle. The Cuy dish is prepared following original recipes, it's not diversified like in restaurants, just the same way Huaraz people prepare it in their special meetings or traditional parties. This way we protect our original culture of Huaraz and surroundings.

The tour starts at different times depending on if you have booked it for lunch or dinner and this tour is programmed for approximately from 6 to 8 hours. When you Reserve for Lunch, we mostly organize the experience in Huaraz sorrounding families houses. It will take us from 10 to 20 minutes with public minivans transfers to get there. Families welcome us in their typical houses introducing us to their culture. When you reserve for dinner, we organize it closer to downtown only at surroundings of around 1km radius with easy access. Some could be just walking distance or some could be with taxi transfer. This special dish of Cuy is prepared traditionally, with the same style of Andean people or Huaraz people. This is definitely a 100% different of how restaurants prepare this dish!
