Discover a lesser-known experience right between two of Bali’s high altitude destinations, Mount Agung and Mount Batur. Explore the charming views from Mount Abang, located very close to Mount Agung and Mount Batur. In the Kintamani area, Mount Abang sits 2.152 meters above sea level. Mount Abang is the highest point of the caldera and is filled with tropical plants and bushes.
Hike through the pine rainforest and trails between the caldera to reach the summit in 2 hours 30 minutes along a 6 km journey to the top. Together with a licensed and friendly local guide, you'll learn the ins and outs of the forest and mountainous areas that are traversed.

Easy to coordinate, driver was punctual at pick up time. Guide was also super friendly, great experience!
Although guide Wayan was a man of few words, he was professional. His sincerity and respects to the mountain were shown through. I was so impressed that he was cleaning around the summit temple. The driver Wayan was also professional, she was calm and punctual.

Super! Guide Kutud was superb. Challenging terrain but totally worth it & do’able with the right mindset. Mountain with little traffic. I climbed solo and there’s another group of 3. Beautiful sunrise & view of mount batur! Guide confirmed booking very fast, informing me of mountain closure and if change of date is possible. Booking though Pelago is more reliable than Klook. I have originally booked mount abang hike through Klook and I was only informed of the mountain closure 4 hours before the scheduled pickup and was told hike is not available till 4days later and guide proposed mount batur. I understand from hotel staff that it’s hard to find guide for mount Abang, so maybe that’s why I was cancelled by klook’s agent. Please be prepared for mount Abang hike. Proper trekking shoes, walking stick with mud piece, gloves & energy gel. You will need them.
