This cave exploration tour takes you into the spectacular Jomblang Cave in southeastern Jogyakarta. It was formed when a 50-metre wide ground collapsed 1,000 years ago. This sinkhole is a sanctuary for a variety of ancient plant species and insects.
After a safety briefing, gear up in safety equipment with a professional on-site instructor. Explore the cave on your descent of about 59 metres to the bottom of the cave. Walk about 270 metres through a slippery muddy tunnel to a spot where a heavenly light glows. Witness the breathtaking pillars of light, famously known as the 'glow of heaven'.

What To Bring
Please wear slippers so it is easy to change shoes. Boots can be provided with the smallest size of 25.

Excellent adventure must do
Very good experience, especially the rappelling down the cliffs. Our driver Imam got us prepared well before the tour, and even took a video for us during the rappelling. Thanks for making the trip so memorable!

The driver Imam was courteous and well experienced with the activity. He guided us ahead of the travel on what to wear and to carry with us. The driver was on time at 6:45 am to pick us up, car was clean and Imam drove well. The experience at Jomblang Cave was surreal. It is a must visit activity if you are in Jogya. Scope of Improvement: 1) There was a delay in receiving the driver details from Pelago's end/the local operator's end. I did not receive any driver details for close to 6 hours from the booking confirmation nor did any local operator or pelago call me during this time to update about the vehicle or driver details. This caused a lot of anxiety for us since we have already paid upfront. I had to escalate to Pelago's support center and chat with the agent multiple times to get the details 2) Pelago does not ask for hotel details at the time of booking so the driver/local operator is not aware of where to pick us up from. I had to update this myself by raising a support ticket
