Nagarkot is a village located about 25 miles east of Kathmandu, Nepal. It is on the northeastern rim of the Kathmandu Valley at an elevation of close to 6,800 feet above sea level. From Nagarkot you also see the excellent view of the Indrawati River valley in the east as well as the panoramic view of the Kathmandu valley in the west. Start a short walk to the nearby village. It is one of the best view points of this region which is famous for the view of sunrise and sunset in the Himalayas.
