- Spot Introduction -

・Bulguksa Temple

Bulguksa Temple is a registered World Heritage site. When people think of
Gyeongju, Bulguksa Temple is known as an essential must-visit destination.
Although it is still a large-scale temple today, it is said that during its
peak in the 8th century, it boasted a magnificent scale with over 60 wooden
buildings consisting of 2,000 rooms.

・Seokguram Grotto

Located further up the mountain from Bulguksa Temple, this cultural property
is the Seokguram Grotto. It is said to be a representative work of Korean
Buddhist art and was registered as a World Heritage site along with Bulguksa
Temple by UNESCO in 1995. The Buddha statue is magnificent, but the view of
Gyeongju from the Seokguram Grotto is also breathtaking.

・Tumuli Park / Daereungwon (Cheonmachong)

A collection of ancient tombs suddenly appears right next to the downtown area
of Gyeongju! Known as the largest group of tombs in Gyeongju, this park
preserves 23 tombs within an area of approximately 120,000 pyeong. Among them,
Cheonmachong was excavated in 1973, and its interior is now open for visitors
to explore.
