Pack light, sketch freely, and discover how easy it can be to capture the world in colour with water-soluble colour pencils. This 3-hour workshop introduces a portable and expressive way to create watercolour-like travel sketches without the need for messy paints or heavy equipment. Designed for all skill levels, the session offers a relaxed environment where you can explore creative techniques and enjoy making art in good company.
Learn how to combine pencil, ink, and wash techniques while developing core skills in drawing, colour theory, perspective, and spatial awareness. You will practise observing and interpreting subjects with your own creative flair, while also gaining inspiration from master sketchers. With a simple set of pencils, a brush, and paper, you will build practical skills that can travel with you wherever you go.
- Portable Travel Sketching: Learn how to create expressive watercolour-style sketches using lightweight, easy-to-carry materials.
- Pencil, Ink and Wash Techniques: Practise combining water-soluble colour pencils, fineliner, and water for lively sketching effects.

- This is a 3-hour workshop focused on travel sketching with water-soluble colour pencils.
- The workshop is open to beginners and all skill levels; no prior art experience is required.
- The workshop is recommended for participants aged 16 and above.
- No prior art experience is required.
- Participants must be over 16 years old.
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the experience. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the experience and no-shows are non-refundable. If the experience is cancelled by the organiser, a full refund will be provided.
Event Rescheduling
The organiser reserves the right to reschedule the event if the minimum number of participants required is not met or due to inclement weather. In such circumstances, registered participants will be notified at least three (3) working days prior to the originally scheduled event date. Participants will be contacted via the email address or contact details provided during registration with information regarding the rescheduled date and any alternative arrangements.
Refunds
If the event is rescheduled, participants may choose to either:
- Transfer their registration to the rescheduled event date at no additional cost, or
- Request a full refund of their ticket price.
Refund requests must be submitted within 3 working days of the rescheduling notification. Refunds will be processed within 14 working days of receiving the request.
