Such a fun and memorable experience at The Artsy Lens! The DIY Film Camera Workshop was honestly one of the most unique workshops I’ve done. From building and personalising my own film camera to actually taking photos and learning how to develop the film, every part of the experience was hands-on and enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful, especially when I got stuck during the camera-building process. I also loved being able to customise the camera and make it feel completely my own. There’s something really special about slowing down, shooting on film, and not knowing exactly how your photos will turn out until the development process. It made the whole experience feel much more meaningful than simply taking photos on a phone. Would 100% recommend The Artsy Lens to anyone interested in photography, crafts, or just looking for a genuinely fun and memorable experience.
I booked and went for it even after reading some reviews because I wanted to judge it for myself. After experiencing it firsthand, I honestly felt the cost of the workshop is justifiable. The materials, chemicals, equipment, and guided instruction added up is definitely not something I could realistically recreate at home without investing in a lot of resources. The staff were friendly and patient throughout, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Being able to use my SG Culture Pass credits made it feel even more worthwhile. Overall, I felt I got my money's worth and would recommend it to anyone looking to try film photography for the first time.
The instruction is quite easy to follow, there’s staff to ask for help which I needed at some part. Photo taking session with our own built camera was fun, the developing of the film was hassle free and easy, seeing the negative being digitalise into colour images are awesome and we got to choose a few of our favourite photos and printed into a collage photo print. Not forgetting we got to customize our own camera and a free drinks too.
It was a great experience! the staff is friendly and instructions were clear, had a fun time building and decorating the camera! 10/10 experience
Instruction manual was easy to understand, staffs were helpful and always proactive in reaching out to see if we needed help building along the way. We were told that certain parts were prebuilt to make things easier for participants otherwise we would be taking the whole day to build! But we only took 40mins so yay. Also pretty surprising to know that the set was rated for 8 years old & above
Worth my SG Culture Pass Credits! Nice staffs and fun workshop, pretty unique, don’t think can find any where else
Really enjoyed my experience at theartsylenssgp. Taking the photos was fun, and the development part was something very different and memorable. Highly recommend trying it.
super duper fun and friendly staff!
