Itinerary
Amedee Island
9 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedEvery year during the austral winter, humpback whales migrate from Antarctica to the warm turquoise waters of the New Caledonia lagoon to breed and give birth to their calves. From mid-July to mid-September, embark from Noumea aboard one of our sailing catamarans for an unforgettable eco-tourism experience. Watch for whale blows, spectacular breaches, fin slaps, and mothers swimming with their calves in a breathtaking natural environment. Our crews are trained by the South Province and work alongside scientists while following official marine mammal observation guidelines. Departure is at 7:00 AM (boarding 6:50 AM) with coffee available on board. Please note this excursion is designed for people who enjoy sailing and patience, as the day is dedicated entirely to searching for and observing whales. No island stop is planned.
