- Spot Introduction -
・MBC Dae Jang Geum Park recreates traditional Korean living spaces on a site
of approximately 2.5 million square meters. This is the filming location for
MBC's representative historical dramas such as "Dong Yi," "Yi San," "Queen
Seondeok," "Jumong," and "Empress Ki," and even at this very moment, moving
dramas are being created. At Dae Jang Geum Park (formerly MBC Dramia), you can
stroll through the Korean palace and downtown area from several hundred years
ago, and even dress up in magnificent court costumes and become a king or
queen of the Joseon era. It is truly an ideal space where you can enjoy the
setting of your favorite dramas and travel back in time!
Changdeokgung Palace
Changdeokgung Palace was built in 1405, after the completion of Gyeongbokgung
Palace. Located to the east of the main palace, Gyeongbokgung, it was also
known as Donggung (Eastern Palace). From the time of King Seongjong, the 9th
king of the Joseon Dynasty, successive kings lived and conducted their duties
here, and it gradually came to serve as the main palace. In December 1997,
Changdeokgung Palace, along with Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, was registered as a
UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Jongmyo Shrine
Jongmyo Shrine is a place where the ancestral tablets of successive monarchs
of the Joseon Dynasty are enshrined and ancestral rites are performed. Built
in 1394 by King Taejo (1335-1408), Yi Seong-gye, at the same time as
Gyeongbokgung Palace in Hanyang, the new capital of the Joseon Dynasty
(1392-1910), it preserves its long traditions and customs, including the
solemn rituals and ancestral music, and was registered as a World Cultural
Heritage site in 1995.
