The city of Zefat/Safed is known as one of the four "Holy Cities" of Judaism. During the 16th century the city was home to a list of extremely influential Jewish leaders. Their teachings and contributions to Judaism are still very evident in modern Jewish life.
Some of those who visit these synagogues and burial sites claim to have experienced unexplainable feelings.
The Kabbalah Heritage Walk is your chance to engage a local Talmudic and Kabbalistc scholar while visiting Kabbalah significant sites. To have an open conversation on how these teaching impact daily Jewish life and to ask any question you may have.
Itinerary

Visit sites of Kabbalistic significance and explore the ideas and traditions relevant to the site. "Kabbalah" is the mysterious and historically secretive side of Judaism. For millennia little information was available to the public regarding these ideas. In the 16th century, the city of Zefat/Safed became the known as capital of these teachings. Many known Kabbalists taught here. Amongst those that have significant sites include, Rabbi Moshe Cordivero, The "Alkabetz", The Holy Ari "Isaac Luria". In addition to Kabbalistic tradition, the city of Zefat/Safed was home to the author of the most authoritative book on Jewish Religious law, the "Shulchan Aruch", by Rabbi Yosef Cairo. The Kabbalah Heritage Walk is unique in the fact that it is lead by those who studied and were inspired by these teaching. At each site you will learn about something the relevant sage taught and how they practically impacted global Judaism of today. This program operates one time per day Sun-Thurs starting at 1:30pm, Fri starting at 11am. Any other time must be coordinated in advance and is subject to availability.
