It is a road that calls for adventure, and the story of that road hides the legend of one love. Referred to as the ‘serpentine road’, the road has 25 switchbacks and gives you incredible views of the Bay of Kotor.The drive to Njegus will take an hour. Namely, on the part of the road from Kotor to Trojica, there is an M-shaped moat. According to the story, the young engineer Josip Slade-Šilović had the task of designing a modern road for cars from Kotor to Cetinje after the Berlin Congress in 1878. This designer from Trogir was later a palace builder, and with the letter M he allegedly showed his secret love for the Montenegrin princess Milena. The Montenegrin writer Jovan J. Martinović also passed on the joke of the people of Cetinje, which was created at the expense of this letter M.
