Highlights
If you’re visiting Guadalajara, you're likely to hear talk about this beloved little town, right on the city's doorstep! Tlaquepaque is one of the nation's cherished "magical pueblos," recognized for its role in the country's independence, architecture, cultural charm, and a relaxing ambience.
With a long history of fame as the home of artisans who have produced some of the finest craftsmanship Mexico has to offer, Tlaquepaque presents a storybook backdrop to a unique experience. This is not a drive-by tour and it's not a shopping trip! We get up close with fascinating explanations and stories about historical sites, works of public art, and museum exhibits. Our walking tour has been vetted for quality by the local Office of Tourism and Tlaquepaque's Historic Committee. The town is situated between the airport and Guadalajara’s historic center, so only 30 minutes from both. A visit is the perfect day trip!
