  Today you will start your day a bit early as we will take you to the opposite bank of the river Yamuna and you will be mesmerized with a different view of the Taj Mahal as the waters of Yamuna will be in between you and the Taj Mahal. The gardens of Mehtab Bagh or Moonlit gardens are perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal on the north bank of Yamuna and offer panoramic views of the Taj Mahal at different hours of the day. Mehtab Bagh or Moonlit Garden on the north bank of river Yamuna opposite to Taj Mahal was the last of the eleven Mughal-built gardens in the shape of Char Bagh.

  Agra Fort or Red Fort of Agra is a perfectly preserved massive fort complex that was the main residence of Mughal Emperors till 1638 when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. This UNESCO World Heritage Site houses many palaces constructed by different rulers. Akbar Mahal, Jahangiri Mahal, Palace of Roshan Ara, Diwan-E-Am, Diwan-e-Khas, Moti Masjid are the main architectural sites inside the fort complex. However, perhaps the most remarkable place inside is the Mutthamman Burz or Shahjahani Mahal where Emperor Shah Jahan, the builder of Taj Mahal was imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb as per his desire to have the views of Taj Mahal. Even today, similar and uninterrupted views of the Taj Mahal can be enjoyed.

• Fatehpur Sikri

  After exploring Agra, beyond the Taj Mahal, return to your hotel for breakfast. Post your breakfast, drive to Fatehpur Sikri, the erstwhile capital of Mughals lies approximately 38 km west of Agra. Imperial buildings and palaces were constructed within a walled city. The palace complex has many architectural masterpieces like Diwan-E-Khas, Diwan-E-Am, Panch Mahal, Anup Talao, Treasury, Astrologer’s seat, Jahangiri Mahal and Buland Darwaja. White marble building has the grave of a Sufi saint under an ornate wooden canopy encrusted with Mother of Pearl mosaic.

• Elephant Conservation and Care Centre

  It's time now to rediscover an animal lover inside you as you meet with unsung heroes of Agra - Volunteers of Wildlife SOS while visiting Elephant Conservation and Care Centre, home to 20 elephants and 175 sloth bears rescued from depriving conditions. As you visit the conservation center, you will surely fall in love with these lovely animals. Watch bears playing or walk with elephants as they go to bathe in the waters of the river Yamuna twice a day. Express your love and affection for them and they will be your friends. Important to note here is that riding an elephant/bear is strictly prohibited. However, you are allowed to volunteer yourself to help and support the NGO in the supervision of the Wildlife SOS staff. Wildlife SOS is an NGO running and taking care of these elephants and bears and your small donation of around USD 25 per person helps them to perform their work smoothly. Donation is completely obligatory and not included in the tour cost.
