Museum Negeri Provinsi Sumatera Selatan "Balaputra Dewa" is an ethnographic museum located in Palembang City, South Sumatra, Indonesia. This museum is the state museum of South Sumatra Province. The name Balaputra Dewa originates from Balaputera Dewa, the 9th-century ruler of the Sriwijaya Kingdom and the former head of the Sailendra dynasty, which was centered around Palembang. Balaputra Dewa showcases the history and traditions of South Sumatra Province.

The Sriwijaya Kingdom Archaeological Park is a cultural art-based archaeological site from the Sriwijaya Kingdom. This ancient park is located on Jalan Syakhyakirti, Karanganyar Subdistrict, Gandus District, Palembang City. Previously, this park was known as the Karanganyar Site, which was later renamed to the Sriwijaya Kingdom Archaeological Park. Local people believe this park to be the center of the Sriwijaya Kingdom, located on the northern bank of the Musi River in Palembang City.

*Museum Al-Qur’an Al-Akbar
Bayt Al Quran Al-Akbar (Giant Al Quran Museum) is a museum located in Palembang city, situated at Pondok Pesantren Al Ihsaniyah Gandus Palembang. It contains 30 chapters of the holy Al-Quran, which have been carved in Palembang's unique style on wooden sheets, using approximately 40 cubic meters of tembesu wood at a cost of no less than IDR 2 billion. Each sheet measures 177 x 140 x 2.5 centimeters, and the total thickness, including the cover, reaches 9 meters. The Indonesian Museum of Records (MURI) has recognized it as the largest and heaviest Al-Quran in the world.

Ampera Bridge (Indonesian: Jembatan Ampera, for Amanat Penderitaan Rakyat [Mandate of People's Suffering], a now-rarely used colloquial name for the preamble of the Constitution of Indonesia), formerly Bung Karno Bridge (Indonesian: Jembatan Bung Karno, after President Sukarno) between its opening and the 1966 De-Sukarnoization campaign, is a vertical-lift bridge in the city of Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. It connects Seberang Ulu and Seberang Ilir, two regions of Palembang. It can no longer be opened to allow ships to pass.

Kuto Besak, also Benteng Kuto Besak (Indonesian "Kuto Besak Fortress") is an 18th-century kraton (Indonesian forted palace) in Palembang, South Sumatra. Kuto Besak was the center of the Sultanate of Palembang before its abolition by the Dutch colonial government. The fort was constructed in 1780 and took seventeen years to complete. Kuto Besak was inaugurated in 1797, marked by the transfer of the royal residence from the older Kuto Lamo to Kuto Besak.
