We were picked up by both a driver and a tour guide, though we weren’t quite sure why a guide was necessary since the driver could have easily managed both roles. That said, once we arrived for the Nile cruise, we really enjoyed the experience. The entertainment was exactly what you’d expect on a river cruise—lively and fun—and while the food wasn’t exceptional, it was still good. Do be prepared for very loud music, to the point where it’s hard to hold a conversation. Luckily, it was nice to step outside for a walk along the deck, get some fresh air, and enjoy beautiful views of Cairo from the river.
