Very fun experience. Instructors Nam and Bin are very good at explaining and cool. We had really great time.
Fun skiing experience
Bus and instructors are punctual. Instructions for pickup and activities are provided clearly a day before. Helmet knee and bum pads rentals are additional. Additional protections like ski gloves and neck warmers can be purchased at the ski shop. Ski training is recommended for beginners. Ratio is about 20 to 1 instructor. Peter and Deuce did a great job organising the trip and providing the training. Package with scenic view allows a trip up to the top of the intermediare/advanced slops and a free fish cake soup, without having the ski on, which is ideal for beginners as there is no need to ski down. The ski lift is highly recommended as there are two beginners slopes that are only accessible with the ski lifts.
I booked the Gugok Valley + Ski package. Only after I boarded the bus on the actual day, then I was informed by the local guide that Gugok Valley was "not available" and he will not be bringing me there. He asked me to contact his company for partial refund, I did and was offered a mere 5000won refund for skipping the Gugok Valley. Contacted Pelago and 4 days already have yet to hear anything. Waiting... The ski instructor was bad. His job include helping everyone get ready for their first ski down the slope. However, he forgot about me and my daughter, after helping the customer ahead of us, he assumed all customers had gone skiied and immediately walked back to the rental shop. With my heavy ski boots, I had to trudged to the shop to inform him, which he then came back to help.
