I had a great time visiting Penang Sraits and Oriental museum. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The lovely local lady working at the museum explained to me in detail history of Penang settlement. On the second floor there is beautiful chinese porcelain excavated from ship wrecks found in nearby area. The ticket to the museum entitled me to a free coffee at a nice cafe next good. I highly recommended this museum to anyone visiting Penang.
Very interactive exhibition. Full of history about Penang. 3 floors. Second floor are the actual porcelains. You ticket gives you rm 5 off at their cafe
Great, easy to redeem at the museum and there are 2 floors of exhibits and a free drink when leaving the museum.
The tour guide explained exceptionally well. She is well prepared and knowledgeable about the history. Enjoy the historic story telling very much.
A small but compact museum, SO Museum is very informative. Included with a guided tour of the artefacts is freshly brewed tea in a living room setting.
