Getting there was a bit tricky—no direct turn-in from our side of the road, and preferred parking was closed. We gambled on the next entrance and it worked, though signage back to the venue was sparse. Summer heat was intense, but arriving early meant short lines and a welcome mist fan at the entrance. Inside the dome, the cool air was a relief. Free-roaming animals and lush greenery offered great photo ops, especially with Burj Khalifa views from the entrance. The play area was closed, but large, colorful mechanical insects added visual interest. Exploring from top to bottom revealed the nocturnal zone in the basement—worth a visit, though the smell was a bit off-putting. Just as we wrapped up, staff announced the indoor rainstorm. We looped back through for the mist, thunder sounds, and simulated rainfall—a surprisingly atmospheric finale to the day.
