The one-way ticket is valid only for the direction selected at the time of purchase. It can be used from the time of activation until the end of operating hours on the same day.

The round-trip ticket includes one one-way ticket for the Sounzan direction and one for the Togendai direction. It can be used on the day of activation and the following day. However, each one-way ticket is valid only until the end of operating hours on the day it is activated.

If multiple tickets are purchased in a single transaction, they cannot be used separately and will all be activated at the same time. If you wish to use them individually on different occasions, please make separate purchases.

Reservations can be made for up to 24 people, but they must be used by the same group and cannot be used individually. If you need to use the tickets separately, please purchase them individually.

When using the voucher, open the usage screen from the link sent to you at the time of purchase, press the “Use” button, and show the screen to a staff member.
*Please ensure you have a stable network connection, as you will need to access the web page on your smartphone.
*Screenshots and printed copies cannot be accepted.
*If you purchase multiple tickets in one transaction, they cannot be used separately, and all tickets will be activated simultaneously. To use the tickets individually, please purchase them separately.
*For security purposes, you may be required to authenticate using a one-time password (OTP). If prompted, please follow the steps below:
1. Enter the email address to receive the OTP and press the send button.
2. Check that the OTP has been received by the email address set up in step 1. (The email containing the OTP will be sent. Please also check your spam folder just to be sure. If you can’t find it there, your email address may be incorrect. Open the URL for the usage screen from the voucher again and try again by entering your email address.)
3. Enter the OTP listed in the received email into the ticket screen and press the Confirm button. If you enter it correctly, the usage screen will be displayed. (Once OTP authentication is complete, the OTP will be sent to the email address you set. This email address cannot be changed, so please set an email address that can be confirmed locally on the day of use.)

All ropeway tickets allow you to get off at any station along the route.

Each gondola accommodates up to 18 passengers.

The gondolas operate at approximately one-minute intervals.

The travel time between each of the four Hakone Ropeway stations is approximately 10 minutes.
*Travel time may vary depending on congestion.

Operating Hours:
・February to November: 9:00 to 16:45 (Owakudani Station: 9:00 to 17:00)
・December to January: 9:00 to 16:15 (all stations)
*Service may be suspended due to bad weather or regular maintenance.

The Hakone Ropeway may be suspended without prior notice in the event of strong winds, lightning, approaching typhoons, or other adverse weather conditions.

・The Hakone Ropeway will suspend service on certain sections due to scheduled maintenance, and substitute bus transportation will be provided for those sections.

・Suspended Section: Sounzan Station – Owakudani Station

(2) January 13 (Tue) – January 30 (Fri), 2026 (Total of 30 days)
The section between Owakudani Station and Togendai Station will operate as usual.

January 31 (Sat) – February 20 (Fri), 2026 (21 days)
The section between Sounzan Station and Owakudani Station will operate as usual.

Substitute bus service will operate as follows:
Bus travel time:
Sounzan Station – Owakudani Station: approx. 10 minutes one way
Owakudani Station – Ubako Station – Togendai Station: approx. 15 minutes one way
*Buses operate approximately every 15 minutes.

Bus operating hours:
Buses operate according to the operating hours of the Hakone Ropeway.

Substitute buses to and from Owakudani may be very crowded, so we recommend using other normally operating sections of the Hakone Ropeway when visiting Owakudani.
・Other Information:
Customers holding Hakone Freepass or other eligible transportation tickets may use the substitute bus.
Customers without a valid ticket are requested to use the regular Izu Hakone Bus service.
