Step back in time with a poignant visit to the famous River Kwai Bridge and the historic Death Railway in Kanchanaburi. This immersive day tour explores one of Thailand’s most significant World War II sites, where you’ll gain insight into the lives and sacrifices of those who constructed the railway under harrowing conditions. Beyond its historical importance, Kanchanaburi is a region of exceptional natural beauty. Surrounded by lush jungles, winding rivers, and dramatic mountain ranges, the province offers a scenic escape from bustling Bangkok. Overall is a great tour. The train ride was amazing. Given this tour a 4 stars because the itinerary mentioned there is a boat ride but actually it wasn't included in the package. Do take note if anyone wanted the boat ride, this package doesn't provide it. Felt that I had paid for it but service wasn't provided.
LACK COMMUNICATION! Bus broke down told to get off bus now to stand under a tree for 40 minutes. Everything came rushed after this . Only a pack lunch for me either out a drink . On the way we changed from a big bus to a small bus. David the driver had no idea where he was going . I end up getting out before my hotel. He was constantly on his phone and showed displeasure about driving in heavy traffic and he obviously he didnt want to be working . I wouldn't recommend this company for this day tour.
Great tour, lots of info given and not pushy at all. journey between places are long with various breaks in-between so please take note if you can't stand that.
Good experience to visit 'Death Railway' and to walk over the bridge. Visit to the cemetery was moving, and the museum was very informative. We did not go under the bridge in a boat as per the trip description. I think the train trip should include going over the bridge. I am glad I did the trip
