We recommend our first stop to be at Knossos Palace to avoid the crowds and the heat .( OPTIONAL) Now we will get out of the city to visit an olive oil factory where we learn all about and olive oil production and taste different kind of of local olive oils . Next we visit an old traditional villages up to an altitude of 1000 feet above sea level where we walk through the old narrow streets and travel back in time while learning about the history of the village and local traditions. After that we will enjoy a glass of wine at the main square of the village. Next we will visit a winery to taste some local wines and learn about local grape varieties. After the winery we can stop at a family restaurant for lunch.( OPTIONAL) We can stop at a family restaurant for lunch ( OPTIONAL) Next we will visit another winery to learn more about local wines and taste some of them ( OPTIONAL) After this experience we hit the road to go back to where we started ( propably drunk and singing……) well when we say drunk we don’t mean the driver .
