Known to many as ‘one of the largest slums in Asia’, we prefer to think of Dharavi as Mumbai’s beating heart.

This experience is operated by Reality Tours & Travel, a responsible travel social enterprise that reinvests a significant portion of its profits into local community development

You will see a wide range of business activities: recycling, pottery-making, embroidery, bakery, soap factory, leather tanning, poppadom-making and many more.

We’ll also visit the residential areas.

You’ll see the community centre run by our NGO Reality Gives that is funded through profits from the tours.

We will pick you up from your hotel and head by car to Dharavi. If you are staying in South Mumbai (eg Colaba, Marine Drive) we will pass by various historical areas of interest and we’ll stop at Dhobi Ghat, the largest open air laundry in the world.

If you’re staying in North Mumbai such as Bandra or Juhu, then we will go directly to Dharavi.
